Shipping policy

This Shipping & Delivery Policy is part of our Terms and Conditions and should be read alongside them. Please review this policy carefully before placing an order — it applies to any order placed with us.

Placing an Order

  • How do I place an order? Cupcake and cake orders can be placed online, in person at one of our stores, or over the phone at (03) 9077 4542. Customer service hours: Mon–Fri 9:00am–4:00pm, Sat 9:00am–1:00pm.
  • Can I add to my order after it's placed? Yes — we require at least 24 hours' notice before the delivery date. Contact us by email or phone and our team will amend your order.
  • How do I use a discount/promo code or gift voucher? Add your items to the cart, click "Checkout," and enter your code in the discount code / gift card section.
  • Can I add a gift message? Yes — for $2.00 we'll include a gift message tied with our signature satin blue ribbon.
  • Can I customise flavours in an assorted gift box? Assorted gift boxes come with a mix of our flavours as selected by us. To choose specific flavours, add each individual flavour to your cart separately — this costs slightly more than the assorted box.

Delivery

  • Delivery fee We introduced a small $5 delivery fee on orders over $45 to help offset rising costs while keeping quality and service consistent.
  • Where do you deliver to? Check the postcode checker on our website, or visit: cupcakecentral.com.au/pages/delivery-information
  • Do you offer same-day delivery? Yes, on weekdays only (not weekends), subject to capacity. Orders must be placed before 12pm. If we can't fulfil your order, you'll be notified by email or phone.
  • Do you offer specific delivery time slots? We can't guarantee an exact delivery time. Orders arrive within a chosen window of either 9am–3pm or 12pm–6pm. If timing is critical for an event, we recommend having your order delivered the day prior — cupcakes last up to 3 days when stored in a cool space out of the sun.
  • My order arrived outside the delivery window — what now? We aim to deliver within the selected window, but factors like traffic, weather, and other unforeseen circumstances can occasionally cause delays. If your order is running late, contact us immediately at (03) 9077 4542.
  • How do I track my order? Once dispatched, you'll receive an SMS within 24–48 hours with a tracking link so you can follow your delivery.
  • What if no one is home, or the address supplied is wrong? Contact us by email or phone as soon as possible. Drivers can leave orders in a safe, secure spot if available — you'll be able to see proof of delivery (including photos) via your tracking link. Note: drivers will not go upstairs, into apartments, into hospital rooms, or up building levels.If we're given incorrect or insufficient address details, or no one is available to receive the delivery and there's nowhere safe to leave it, a redelivery fee will apply. Redelivery means your original order goes to waste and has to be remade, repacked, and sent out again.

I've entered the wrong address — how do I fix it?

  • If you haven't received your order confirmation yet: contact us right away so we can update it.
  • If you've already received confirmation: email service@cupcakecentral.com.au with the new address within 24 hours.
  • Address changes can't be made on the day of dispatch, so please contact us at least 24 hours before your delivery date.

Interstate & Nationwide Delivery

  • Do you deliver interstate? Yes. Shortbread cookies and chunky filled cookies, along with brownies and slices, can be shipped nationwide via Australia Post Express. Orders are dispatched every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
  • How much does interstate shipping cost? Average postage is around $25, though the exact cost can vary depending on Australia Post's rates. For delivery estimates, check Australia Post's website directly. Please note we're not liable for goods damaged in transit or for delays caused by Australia Post.
  • Do you deliver internationally? No, we don't currently ship internationally.

Click & Collect

  • How does Click & Collect work? Once your order is placed and confirmed, it will be ready for collection at the location, date, and time you selected.
  • I can't make my Click & Collect pickup — what do I do? Email us as soon as possible at service@cupcakecentral.com.au so our team can arrange a new date.

Where can I pick up my order?

We have 3 pickup locations:

  • Highpoint — Shop 2561, Level 2, Highpoint Shopping Centre, Maribyrnong, 3032
  • Little Bourke — 353 Little Bourke Street, Melbourne, 3000
  • Head Office — 79 Sunshine Road, West Footscray, 3012
